Our People

Jeff Mackie, Principal, established Mackie Employer Solutions in 2004 and prior to that held senior HR roles in the resources and construction sector. After completing his tertiary studies at UWA Jeff initially worked managing recreation facilities before transitioning to resources where he has held both corporate and site roles in HR and ER. Jeff has completed consulting assignments throughout Australia and Asia and understands the unique challenges facing both HR and operations management in the current environment.

Steve Blake, Senior Consultant, has a Commerce Degree majoring in Commercial Law. He has extensive management and consulting experience including recent projects in the resources and utilities sectors. Steve’s skill set includes facilitation, change management, process improvement, policy development, strategic planning and organisational design.

Rhiannon Foster, is a generalist HR Advisor with solid exposure to operational HR issues. Most recently Rhiannon has worked in site based resource sector roles providing day to day support to line management and on specific HR projects. Rhiannon has worked on assignments in both residential and commute operations.

Jayde Thompson, HR Advisor has a Bachelor of Arts and is currently studying for her Masters in HR and IR. After graduating Jayde initially gained HR experience in the Education sector but more recently has performed contract work in the Energy sector.

Leanne Stannard our Office Manager has extensive administration experience and worked for an accounting firm before having a break from (paid) work whilst caring for her children. Leanne manages all our office functions including payroll, accounts and facilities on a part time basis.

We have other employees who we engage on an as required basis and can also recommend other consultants if we don’t have the skill set to perform particular aspects of a project.
